Portugal Meeting: Funchal – 28th April, 2017. Day 4

On the fourth day in Portugal we all gathered together as usual in the lobby and went to school by taxi. One of the students, a young school singer- Madelina, performed two beautiful songs specially for us in the beginning of our meeting. Everyone adored her voice and perfect performance.
After that, we had a lesson: Portuguese as a foreign language. Maria do Ceu prepared for us a very interesting language lesson, where everyone could not only to learn and practice new Portuguese words and phrases, but also could get acquainted with local traditional food and the history. Moreover, we could touch, smell and taste during the lesson. It was amazing! I believe everyone will remember such a wonderful and professional lesson.
Next, we had a great possibility to take part in some Chemistry and Biology experiments in the labs. The students of EBSAAS prepared the experiments and explained the process to the guests. It should be mentioned that the students are very sociable, open- hearted, communicative. It’s a great pleasure to talk with them.
In the afternoon, we had a wonderful Catamaran trip together with students and school teachers of EBSAAS. Everybody had an amazing opportunity to watch the family of whales at a distance and see the beauty of the Madeiran coast with comfort in a warm atmosphere. The weather was sunny and we stopped for swimming for a while.
In the evening, all the partners of the PIE project gathered together for a farewell dinner. We really enjoyed the dinner: tasty dishes, warm atmosphere, attentive hosts, relaxing music…
Everyone was awarded by a certificate. It was a fabulous and unforgettable day thanks to our Portuguese hosts!
Thanks a lot!
